Hillocks Drive, Innes National Park South Australia, Marion Bay
Just got back from a great week away exploring the Innes National park and staying at the Hillocks Drive Poolside Ocean Pod, a beautiful place to stay in the perfect location looking out over the ocean.

Explore the bush and marine environment. Fish, swim or laze on the beach. Watch the whales from your dining room window as they swim past on their way to breeding grounds. Be lulled to sleep by the sounds of the surf. Enjoy breakfast with the chattering of fairy wrens, view the endangered Hooded Plover as they forage on the beach and watch the Sea Eagle soar over Hillocks Point. Snuggle in the warmth of your Pod and watch the fury of ocean storms pound upon the coastline. Enjoy the comfort of a camp fire and camp cooking in winter (from 30th April to 1st November).
The pod contains beds for four ( a double and two singles), hot shower and eco toilet. There is a gas stove, grill, oven, BBQ and utensils to cook on the open fire. The unit is designed to leave a low environmental foot print, having a high energy efficiency rating, employing solar power, rain water and recycling of waste. 12 volt provides lighting, fridge, freezer, TV and power outlets. An inverter provides an outlet for 240V appliances (maximum 1000 watts (or 4 amps). There is a speaker and jack for iPhone or iPad. A fan, the coastal location and insulation provide a cool, comfortable pod in summer. Gas heating keeps you toasty warm in winter. Linen, bedding, towels and beach towels included.

Explore historic Inneston, an abandoned township surrounded by bushland. Take a stroll from your campsite down to the beach for a spot of fishing, or base yourself in one of the restored heritage cottages dotted throughout historic Inneston.
